Where/When: Rominger West Winery, 4602 Second Street, Suite 4, Davis; Thursday, March 17, 4 – 7 p.m.

2. Gem and Mineral Show   –

Where/When: Solano County Fairgrounds, 900 Fairgrounds Drive, Vallejo; Saturday, March 19, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Why Go: Vallejo Gem & mineral society was founded 8 Oct 1954 by rock hounds interested in sharing their knowledge of rocks and minerals, geology and other aspects of rock hounding and collecting with others. This knowledge includes identification, gem and mineral collecting, cutting and polishing and sharing talents of Lapidary, silver casting (lost wax), wire wrapping and other jewelry making skills. 3. Winters Youth Art Stroll   –

Where/When: Downtown Winters, Saturday, March 19, 4 p.m.

Why Go: March is Youth Art Month. See still life abstract prints, self-portraits and radial patterns all created by the students of Winters. Reception is at Visitor’s Center, 11 Main Street at 4:30 p.m.

Pricing: Free.

 

4. Country Folk Art Show   –

Where/When:  Napa Valley Expo inside Chardonnay Hall, 575 Third Street, Napa, over the weekend, March 19-20

Why Go: Gourmet foods, ceramics, jewelry, repurposed home and garden décor, candles, textiles, chandeliers, wearable art, vintage items, floral, metal works, photography, and more!

Pricing: Admission is $6 ($5 with online discount coupon) for both days with free parking.

 

5. One Pot Meals Demonstration with Chef Judi Adelman

Where/When:  Davis Ace Hardware, 240 G Street, Davis in the Housewares Building, from 2 to 4 p.m.

Why Go: Say sayonara to a sink full of dishes! Stop in and immerse yourself in learning your way to a healthy and delicious meal without all the mess.
