JUST IN: Person Jumps From Overpass Onto Air Base Parkway

An individual jumped from the North Texas Street overpass onto westbound Air Base Parkway this morning, according to the Fairfield Police Department.

The dispatch department received numerous 911 calls at 8:18 a.m., officials said.

The person’s condition is unknown.

Westbound Air Base Parkway is closed, possibly for an extended period of time, along with the one eastbound lane, police said.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area, if possible, until further notice.
