'Eagles, Hawks, and Other Birds of Prey.’ This is the last call for this educational hiking tour in Lynch Canyon Open Space, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. No fee but a donation is suggested. • Story time through the Seasons: Expedition to Africa – Sunday, March 6, UC Davis Aboretum’s Acacia Grove, 2-4 p.m. Outdoor reading program for children and families. Free. All ages are welcome. • Hansel and Gretel – Sutter Street Theater. The classic story with all the excitement of the Grimm’s adventure tale is in this play for young people written by award winning playwright Kathryn Schultz Miler and directed by Steve Read. • California State Capital Museum – California’s Role in the Spanish American War Exhibit; also History of the California State Parks: A most Glorious Heritage. • Ash Wednesday Worship Services

This annual service marks the beginning of the season of Lent, which is a time of preparation for the celebration of Easter. There will be numerous Ash Wednesday Worship Services offered at different local churches at 7p.m.
