The Dixon Lions Club 7th annual Texas Hold-Em Poker Night fundraiser will be Saturday October 18 at the Downtown Olde Vets Hall. A $75.00 donation per person will let you have good time with friends, BBQ tri tip sandwiches, no host bar and a chance to win the $500 merchandise card grand prize along with other prizes. The best part is all proceeds go to those in need right here in our community. For tickets please call Jim Walker at 530-665-3723 or contact any Dixon Lions Club member. You must be 21 or older to attend and tickets will be sold at the door if available.
The club will also be celebrating their 60 year anniversary giving back to the Dixon community by inviting all former members to join us at Poker Night for some trip tip sandwiches & cake.
Since the club’s chartering in 1954, Proceeds from past fundraising events have gone to Dixon Toys for Tots, Dixon Schools Athletic Boosters, Dixon Relay for Life, Dixon High School scholarships, Wreaths Across America, Dixon Bids for Kids, Dixon Destination Imagination, Dixon Dolphins swim team, Dixon youth sports programs, DHS Open House, DHS Sober Grad Night, Dixon FFA, Dixon Elementary School outdoor education trips & Lions Club vision programs.
