Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash On Nut Tree Road

SOLANO COUNTY, CA – A 31-year-old man died in a collision involving his motorcycle and an SUV in Vacaville on Monday evening, a police sergeant said.

The incident happened at the intersection of Nut Tree Road and Fairview Drive around 7 p.m., Sgt. Nathan Benevides said.

The Solano County coroner's office identified the motorcycle rider as 31-year-old Roy Gallo, who was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:09 p.m.

Gallo was riding a Suzuki GSXR1300 sport motorcycle north on Nut Tree Road and a Vacaville woman was driving a Toyota RAV4 west on Fairview Drive and attempted to cross Nut Tree Road, Benevides said.
There is a stop sign on Fairview Drive but none on Nut Tree Road at that intersection, Benevides said.

The collision is still under investigation, he said.
