Sacramento Man Struck, Killed By Amtrak Train: Solano County Coroner's Office
Breaking: It was the second Solano County fatality involving an Amtrak train within the past few days.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA -- A Sacramento man was killed late Tuesday night when he was struck by an Amtrak train in the Elmira area of unincorporated Solano County near Vacaville, according to the Solano County coroner's office.
The man was identified as 35-year-old Boylon Nesby. He was pronounced dead at 11:34 p.m. and an autopsy is scheduled for this afternoon, sheriff's Sgt. Raymond Lamb said.
His body was found on Fry Road near Meridian Road, Lamb said. Nesby was struck by a northbound Amtrak Coast Starlight train on Union Pacific tracks around 11:25 p.m., Amtrak spokeswoman Vernae Graham
said.

There were 279 passengers on board the train that was heading north from Los Angeles to Seattle, Graham said.
The collision delayed the Coast Starlight train three hours and 45 minutes. No one on board the train was injured.

On Friday, a Lancaster woman died when she was struck by an Amtrak train around 5 a.m. near Pitt School and Porter roads in the Dixon area.
