BREAKING: Temperatures as high as 110 degrees are forecast.

SOLANO and YOLO COUNTIES, CA -- A forecast for high temperatures Sunday and Monday in the San Francisco Bay and Sacramento areas has prompted the National Weather Service to issue excessive heat warnings and advisories for some areas. In Solano County, an excessive heat warning is in effect from 11 a.m. Sunday until 8 p.m. Monday for areas in the Central and Southern Sacramento Valley and the Carquinez Strait and Delta, including Davis, Dixon, Vacaville, Fairfield, Suisun City, Vallejo and Benicia.
Daytime highs will range 100 to 110 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
"An Excessive Heat Warning means that a prolonged period of dangerously hot temperatures will occur," according to the NWS. "The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity will combine to create a DANGEROUS SITUATION in which heat illnesses are likely. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any circumstances.
