Officials ID Possible Murder Victim At Vacaville Prison Hospital
Several agencies investigating the man's death. [Breaking]

SOLANO COUNTY, CA – The California Medical Facility inmate who was found dead last week at the prisonhospital in Vacaville has been identified as 66-year-old Jose Garcia.
The death, considered a possible homicide, is still under investigation, prison spokesman Lt. Andre Gonzales said today.
Garcia was found face down in a pool of blood in a dormitory around 10:35 p.m. on Aug. 22 and was pronounced dead at 11:14 p.m., Gonzales said.

Garcia was received from Fresno County and was serving a life sentence with the possibility of parole for first-degree murder and use of a firearm, and attempted second-degree murder with bodily injury, prison
officials said.
The Solano County coroner's and district attorney's offices and the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation are investigating the death.
