PHOTOS: Davis Music Festival 2012
Saturday's Davis Music Fest raised money for the art, music, and performing arts departments at Davis public schools. Did you attend?
Did anyone make the trip from Dixon for this cool event?
Forty-six bands rocked eight different stages in downtown Davis for more than 11 hours of musical bliss on Saturday. Festival attendees could be spotted roaming 2nd and G Streets wearing red wrist bands (their ticket into any venue) and bright smiles.
The event brought music-lovers together to raise funds to help support local elementary, middle and high school arts programs. Several artists took time during their set to thank festival organizers, Music Only Makes Sense, as they themselves were products of art education.

Crowd sing-a-longs, dancing babies, and a plethora of musical talent helped maintain a positive atmosphere throughout the entire event. Festival-goer Noe Villarreal, was able to quite aptly sum up the entire experience with one simple phrase: "It's beautiful".
Beautiful, indeed.
