Police Investigate Possible ATM Fraud At Travis Credit Union

Officials suspect a credit-card skimmer was used at the drive-up ATM at the Dixon branch.

DIXON, CA – The Dixon Police Department is looking into several reports made by residents who used the drive-up ATM at Travis Credit Union in Dixon, and later found fraudulent charges made to their credit and debit cards.

Police and credit-union security personnel are investigating the possibility a credit-card skimmer was attached to the ATM, which is located at 1470 Ary Lane, the department said.

Travis Credit Union also is conducting an internal assessment to identify potential victims and will directly contact the affected parties, police said.

Police advised customers who use the credit union's ATMs to examine their statements and balances and to report any suspected fraud to their financial institution and law enforcement.
