Suisun City police plan to hold a joint press conference with Vallejo police at 10:30 a.m. to discuss a development in the officer-involved shooting.

That incident occurred around 8:50 p.m. Sunday, when a suspect allegedly pointed an assault-type weapon at police officers in a Vallejo Starbucks.

The man manipulated the gun as if it had malfunctioned and then fled when officers drew their guns.

The man was shot after a foot pursuit in which police said he continued to manipulate the gun and was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
