Sheriff's Office Asks for Help in Solving Year-Old Murder Case
Solano County sheriff's deputies are asking for information from the public about the shooting death of a woman in her vehicle a year ago.

Solano County, CA -- Solano County sheriff's deputies are asking for information from the public about the shooting death of a woman in her vehicle a year ago Wednesday.
A'tierra Westbrook, 21, was shot in her vehicle in the 300 block of Benicia Road in an unincorporated area of Vallejo as she left for work on Aug. 3, 2015.
Westbrook's sedan struck a parked vehicle after she was hit multiple times by gunfire. She died at the scene.

Sheriff's officials said it appeared Westbrook was targeted. A possible suspect was described by a witness as a skinny male who was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, sheriff's Deputy Christine Castillo said.
The suspect was seen entering a blue or silver sedan that fled south on Sperry Avenue immediately after the shooting, Castillo said.

Sheriff's detectives met with Westbrook's family members Tuesday at the shooting scene to mark the one-year anniversary with memorial balloons.
