Short Pursuit In Vacaville Leads To DUI Arrest

VACAVILLE - Police arrested a 31-year-old man suspected of driving drunk after he led officers on a short vehicle pursuit Friday night in Vacaville.

Around 9 p.m., an officer on patrol tried to pull over a vehicle for a traffic violation; however, the driver refused to stop and a pursuit ensued in a residential neighborhood, according to police.

When the driver turned onto a cul-de-sac, officers cornered him.

The driver stopped his car and officers were able to him into custody, police said.

The man, identified as Vacaville resident Derek Kogami, was arrested on suspicion of evading police and driving while under the influence of alcohol, according to police.
