Solano Co. Man Convicted Of Molesting Boy 'Accidentally'

"During the investigation, the defendant claimed all of the acts happened, but that they occurred accidentally," the DA's Office said.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA — A Solano County jury found a Vacaville man guilty Friday of molesting a 10-year-old boy. Oscar Camarillo Campos is scheduled to be sentenced May 7 for two felony counts of engaging in lewd and lascivious acts with a child younger than 14 as well as a special allegation that he engaged in substantial sexual conduct with a child, the Solano County District Attorney's Office said Monday in a statement.

"The defendant violated a position of trust with a 10-year-old child, who he molested on two separate occasions," said Solano County District Attorney Krishna Abrams.

A few weeks later, according to the DA's Office, the boy told his parent about the incidents. The parent in turn contacted the Vacaville Police Department and an investigation was initiated.
