Solano County Estate Fire 100-Percent Contained
The fire north of Vacaville destroyed two homes.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA — A vegetation fire Saturday north of Vacaville that grew to 55 acres, destroyed two residences and left another residence, three vehicles and two RVs damaged was 100-percent contained Saturday night. The so-called Estate Fire in an unincorporated area of Solano County was reported at 11:05 a.m. Saturday at Estate Drive and John Wayne Lane, according to Cal Fire.
Air and ground crews from the Cal Fire Sonoma-Lake-Napa unit, Vacaville, Dixon and other neighboring agencies responded to the blaze as it quickly spread amid a red flag warning for the region.
As the brush fire raged out of control Saturday afternoon, personnel with the Solano County Sheriff's Office responded to aid with evacuations for residents and animals near the area of John Wayne and Skyhawk lanes and English Hills Road.

At least one of the homes destroyed in the fast-moving blaze was on Skyhawk Lane, according to the Vacaville Reporter.
Cal Fire officials said the cause of the fire remained under investigation.
