Solano County Man Accused Of Child Sex Abuse

The 57-year-old was arrested Thursday in a Dixon traffic stop. Detectives believe there may be more victims, a sheriff's spokesman said.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA — Following an eight-month-long investigation, a 57-year-old Solano County man was arrested Thursday on allegations of lewd and lascivious acts upon a child, a spokesman for the Solano County Sheriff's Office said.

Johnny Bo Carbajal, a resident of an unincorporated area of Vacaville, was taken into custody by special enforcement — SET — deputies during a traffic stop in Dixon early Thursday morning, sheriff's Deputy Daniel Pratt said Thursday evening in a news release.

The Solano County Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with the Dixon Police Department and the Solano County District Attorney’s Office, are continuing to investigate Carabajal in an ongoing child sexual abuse investigation, Pratt said.

"Carabajal was arrested for an outstanding court-issued felony arrest warrant for various violations of lewd and lascivious acts upon a child," Pratt said.

Carbajal was booked into Solano County Jail, with his bail set at $405,000, Pratt said.

According to Pratt, Carbajal was booked on the following charges: one count of lewd and lascivious acts upon a child under 14 years of age, using force; one count of attempted lewd and lascivious acts upon a child under 14 years of age; and three counts of contacting a minor with the intent to commit a felony sexual offense.

Authorities believe there may be more victims.

"Solano County Sheriff’s detectives are asking for the community’s help in finding possible victims of a sexual predator," Pratt said.
