SOLANO COUNTY, CA — Solano County Public Health officials extended the county's shelter-at-home health order until May 17, directing residents to continue to stay home except to get food, care for a relative or friend, get necessary health care or engage in essential activities and work.

The county says its health order extension is in line with the governor's orders, and works to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus — COVID-19 — disease in the community.

When the decision to extend the order was made Friday, the total number of confirmed cases in Solano County was 199, including four deaths. Monday afternoon, the number of confirmed cases reached 226.
