Suisun City Man Arrested For Home Break-In

The suspect allegedly was found in possession of property taken while the Fairfield residents were sleeping.

Fairfield police arrested a Suisun City man Monday on suspicion of burglarizing a Fairfield home Sunday while the residents were sleeping, a police lieutenant said.

The residents contacted police Monday morning when they realized their house was burglarized, Lt. Steven Crane said.

Police responded and learned several people had been contacted a short distance from the home by police on an unrelated manner.

One of the people was 21-year-old Vicente Sharp of Suisun City, a convicted felon on probation with prior law enforcement contacts, Crane said. Police found Sharp in a vehicle they stopped on Monday and found evidence related to the burglary during a search.

Police then searched a residence associated with Sharp in the 3300 block of Shenandoah Court in Fairfield. Police also searched a second vehicle associated with Sharp in the 1500 block of Newburgh Drive and recovered more property taken during the burglary, including a 12-gauge shotgun, Crane said.
