Swing By County Education Office For Free Art Show!
Solano County 2015 Student Art Faire Exhibit opens today!

News from Solano County Office of Education:
Some of the best local artists, grades 4 - 12, will exhibit art in the Solano County Student Art Faire to be today through May 27 at the Solano County Office of Education located at 5100 Business Center Drive in Fairfield.
Viewing is free and open to the public Monday through Friday between 8:00AM–5:00PM, closed on weekends and Memorial Day.

The show, also sponsored by the Solano County Office of Education, will feature over 300 pieces of artwork, from students throughout Solano County, in the following categories: computer art, clay pottery/sculpture, drawing, fiber, mixed media, painting, photography, print making, and sculpture.
Thisexhibit showcases the amazing talent of many Solano County students,while offering them an opportunity to participate in a valuable educational experience. For many of these young artists, the Solano County Student Art Faire will bethe first time to have their work displayed in a juried art show.

All participants receive a certificate of participation, and ribbons will be awarded to students placing 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Honorable Mention. Additionally, each division awards one Best of Show winner. These winners receive a ribbon and a perpetual trophy to be displayed at their respective schools.
