Troy Hensley Will Seek Lower Bail or Release While He Awaits Trial
Hensley will return to court on June 7 at 10 a.m. A preliminary hearing is set for June 19 at 10 a.m.

UPDATE:Β Troy Hensley's defenseΒ will file a bail motion for lower bail orΒ "Own Recognizance," according to YoloΒ Chief Deputy District AttorneyΒ Johnathan Raven.
"OwnΒ Recognizance" isΒ when the judge allows someone accused of a crime to be free based on their own recognizance while awaiting trial without having to post bail.Β
Hensley will return to court onΒ June 7 atΒ 10 a.m. A preliminary hearing is set forΒ June 19 at 10 a.m.Β
If Hensley's request were to be granted, he would have toΒ surrender all firearms because of theΒ Civil Protection Order.

According to a spokesperson for the Yolo County Jail, Hensleyβs charges areΒ unlawful sex with a minor,Β oral copulation,Β sexual penetration with a foreign object with aΒ person under 18 andΒ threatening aΒ crime with intent to terrorize.Β Β
Hensley is being held on $1 million bail.Β Β Β
