A citizen reported seeing the two boys shortly after midnight Monday near Vallejo.

Solano County sheriff’s deputies arrested two 17-year-old boys on suspicion of carrying a sawed-off shotgun in an unincorporated area of Vallejo early Monday morning, a sheriff’s deputy said.

A citizen reported seeing the boys with the gun around 12:35 a.m. in the area of Lemon Street and Benicia Road, Deputy Darryl Snedeker said. Deputies found the backpack containing the sawed-off 12-gauge shotgun on the roof of a nearby residence, Snedeker said.
