Vacaville PD Arrests Suspect For Sexual Assault, Battery
An intervening resident and chased the man, 25, and called the cops.
Vacaville police arrested a 25-year-old Vacaville man on suspicion of sexual assault and sexual battery Sunday, police said. The incident occurred at about 3:15 p.m. in the 1400 block of East Monte Vista Avenue, according to police.
Police arrested Miguel Angel Garcia and booked him into Solano County Jail after a resident intervened to interrupt the alleged assault and battery. Police were alerted to the incident when they received a call from the intervening resident.
The resident saw the woman walking near Browns Valley Parkway and East Monte Vista Avenue, police said.

The resident said the woman appeared unable to take care of herself, according to police.
Police said the resident lost sight of the woman after a man approached her.

A short time later, police received another call of one man chasing another, police said. When officers responded, they learned that the resident who made the first call had located and chased Garcia as he ran from the location of the alleged assault, according to police.
With the intervening resident’s help, police said they located Garcia. Anyone with information about the incident is being asked to call Detective Dayna Hardwick at (707) 469-6618.
