Alameda County Sheriff's Deputies Honored by Local Volunteer Group
Alameda County Sheriff's Deputies Stewart, Culley and Sgt. Scheuller were presented with a Certificate of Appreciation.

Wednesday’s Citizen’s Academy, given by the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office Cop Shop Unit, started off a little differently with a surprise presentation by the San Lorenzo Village Volunteers to the Deputies assigned to San Lorenzo: Deputy JD Stewart and Deputy Fenton Culley, as well as their Sergeant, Sgt. Bret Scheuller. The Deputies and Sgt. Scheuller were presented with a certificate of appreciation for their selfless dedication to the San Lorenzo Community.
The Cop Shop is Alameda County Sheriff’s Office’s Community Policing and Problem Solving Unit, and each area of Unincorporated Alameda County is assigned specific deputies from that unit.
Deputy JD Stewart and Deputy Fenton Culley are the San Lorenzo deputies from the Cop Shop. They appear at school functions teaching kids about the Sheriff’s Office. They appear at local town meetings, to answer community concerns and to keep up to date on what is going on in San Lorenzo. They give safety presentations to the local residents to help educate the public on how to stay safe. They do all this in addition to their normal policing duties. Specific deputies know the areas they patrol and look after very well.

San Lorenzo also knows Deputy Stewart, Deputy Culley and Sgt. Scheuller very well, sees their efforts throughout the town, and appreciates their dedication to making San Lorenzo a safe place to live. Their certificates say “We couldn’t do it without you!” and nothing could be more true.
