Alleged Sexual Assault In Dublin: Charges Filed Against Suspect
Dublin police said charges have been filed against 24-year-old Jatonio Simmons.

DUBLIN, CA — A 24-year-old man suspected of breaking into a Dublin home and touching a sleeping victim has been charged by the Alameda County District Attorney's Office with multiple felony counts, including breaking into a home to commit sexual assault, according to Dublin police.
Jatonio Simmons, a transient, was arrested by Dublin police Friday in Mape Memorial Park. He is accused of breaking into a residence Thursday around 11:50 p.m. in the 7900 block of Tamarack Drive. According to a Dublin Police Services report, Simmons entered the home and touched the victim as she slept.
The victim was awakened and screamed, which scared off Simmons, police said.

After the victim provided a description of the suspect to police, a warrant was obtained for Simmons' arrest and he was found at the park the next day, according to DPS.
Simmons was booked into Santa Rita Jail.
