DUBLIN, CA — Amakara restaurant announced it doors will reopen Thursday in Dublin. The eatery temporarily shut down Sept. 6 at the close of business after having been in its new Dublin Boulevard location less than six weeks.

The shutdown was due to a procedural issue between Amakara's sub-contractor and the Alameda County Environmental Health Department, according to Amakara manager Myly Carpio. Now Carpio is welcoming everyone back in beginning Thursday at 11:30 a.m. for a bite to eat.

The Japanese restaurant has been in business since March of 2008. The eatery relocated to its current spot — 7568 Dublin Blvd. on the first floor of the Aster residential complex — and celebrated a grand opening Aug. 3 before its temporary shutdown last month.
