Tri-Valley Celebrates Bike To Wherever Day With Energizer Stations, Bike To School Day

Residents are encouraged to ride their bikes next week to promote cycling as a healthy, eco-friendly transportation alternative.

DUBLIN, CA — May is National Bike Month, and Tri-Valley residents will have several opportunities to get back on the saddle.

Tuesday, May 14 is Bike to Wherever Day, a regional Bay Area event in which thousands of bicyclists take to the streets to get to work, school, or wherever.

The cities of Dublin and Pleasanton are co-hosting two Energizer Stations from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. The stations offer refreshments, a limited-edition Bike to Wherever Day bag and t-shirt, and entry into a prize raffle:

May 14 is also Bike to School Day, where local residents are encouraged to organize a “bike train” where parents and students can ride to school together as a group.

On May 28, bicyclists who ride their bike between Emerald Glen Park and the Dublin Farmers’ Market between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. will receive $5 in “Market Money” to use at the Farmers’ Market.
