Dublin Education Alliance Contributes $175K To Dublin Schools (patch.com) — Families in Dublin will see a boost in school support as the Dublin Education Alliance commits $175,000 to the Dublin Unified School District, targeting tutoring centers and elementary intervention programs. The nonprofit’s recent efforts also include STEM mentorships, college readiness seminars, emotional well-being workshops, and scholarships, all aimed at strengthening opportunities for local students.

Bay Area News Group girls athlete of the week: Sydney Salazar, Dublin softball (fresnobee.com) — Dublin High softball standout Sydney Salazar just earned Bay Area News Group’s girls athlete of the week after powering Dublin’s 16-6 win over Amador Valley with four RBIs and a perfect day at the plate. She also added key hits and RBIs against Granada, and fans can keep nominating Dublin athletes for upcoming weekly polls.    

3. Tri-Valley students star in 'Mean Girls' production (pleasantonweekly.com) — Dublin teens will share the spotlight in TEAM Theatre’s PG-13 production of “Mean Girls High School Edition,” running May 15-24 at San Ramon’s Front Row Theater. The Pleasanton-based troupe says the show helps young actors from Dublin and neighboring cities build confidence, collaboration, and storytelling skills while tackling a contemporary high school story. Tickets are available online through the city of San Ramon.    

4. Eastbound I-580 in Livermore shut down amid police activity (pleasantonweekly.com) — Eastbound I-580 near Isabel Avenue in Livermore is shut down this afternoon as CHP Dublin and local agencies handle a mental health crisis involving a person on the overpass. Drivers from Dublin and the Tri-Valley are urged to avoid the area, expect major delays, and instead use SR-84 into Livermore or I-680 to SR-4 while emergency operations continue.    

5. The Iron Horse Regional Trail is a Bay Area biking paradise (sfchronicle.com) — Dublin gets a shout-out as a key stop along the 32-mile Iron Horse Regional Trail, a converted Southern Pacific rail line that now links Concord to Pleasanton with public art, parks, and easy BART access. The story walks readers through a full-day, beginner-friendly ride, highlighting history, restroom access, kid traffic, and future plans to extend the trail toward Livermore, keeping Dublin firmly on this popular corridor.
