There’s no one better to enjoy the summer with than a loving furry friend. As part of California Adopt-a-Pet Day, Tri-Valley shelters like Valley Humane Society and the East Bay SPCA are offering fee-waived adoptions on Saturday.
In Pleasanton, Valley Humane Society will open its doors at 3670 Nevada Street from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., where guests can find dozens of cats and dogs looking for homes. Dogs will also be available for adoption at the Pleasanton Farmer’s Market at Delucchi Park from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Visit valleyhumane.org to see all the animals up for adoption.
The East Bay SPCA’s Dublin Adoption Center at 46541 Gleason Drive is also waiving fees Saturday. Dog adopters will receive a discount on training services, and may receive donated supplies and toys depending on availability. See here for SPCA animals available for adoption. Contact Victoria Ivankic at vivankic@eastbayspca.org to inquire for interviews.
All animals at both locations have been spayed/neutered, microchipped, and given appropriate vaccinations.
