Shamrock Hills TK-8 School Opens with Ribbon Cutting

DUBLIN, CA — Dublin welcomed its second new school in less than two years with a ribbon cutting event Saturday attended by Superintendent Dr. Matt Campbell, former Superintendent Chris Funk, the Shamrock Hills principal and assistant principal, and the Dublin Unified School District Board of Trustees.

The Shamrock Hills School is a TK-8 school at 5500 Horizon Parkway, near Don Biddle Community Park. The $102.5 million school, funded by Measure J and Proposition 51, is designed to accommodate 1,052 students, according to the Dublin Unified School District.

There are four buildings totaling 108,144 square feet, including a gym, multi-purpose room, elementary school, and administrative and middle school buildings. The school also features a wellness center, library, science labs, an outdoor covered dining area, and more. Construction began in October 2024.

The school will accommodate TK through sixth grade its first year, and add another grade each year until all levels are filled.

"We are celebrating much more than the opening of a new building. We are opening the doors to new opportunities, lifelong friendships, meaningful learning, and a future filled with possibility," Shamrock Hills Principal Erin Magill said in a statement.
