Dublin Man Suspected Of DUI In Deadly Monterey Crash: Police (patch.com) β A 20-year-old Dublin resident has been arrested on suspicion of DUI after a Monterey crash that killed one passenger and injured two others, according to police. Investigators say he was driving with a blood alcohol level above the legal limit and may face gross vehicular manslaughter charges, and they're asking anyone with information to contact Monterey police.

Dublin Affordable Housing Project Near BART Station Remains Stalled After Years Of Delays (patch.com) β Dublin residents near the BART station are still waiting for long-promised affordable housing as a key land transfer has stalled amid county authority issues. After years of shifting agreements and bureaucratic snags, the City Council is now reviewing the latest update and deciding how staff should push to finally secure the Site D-1 property for nearly 100 affordable units.

4. Waymo Gets the Green Light for Tri-Valley Robotaxis. The Cars Aren't Here Yet. Open Governance (opgov.news) β Dublin is now officially on Waymo's map for paid driverless rides, though the company hasn't said when cars will actually appear at spots like Dublin/Pleasanton BART. State regulators have cleared the way for all-hours service, raising big questions about airport trips, late-night rides, and how robotaxis might compete with Uber, Lyft, and local transit across the Tri-Valley.
