• Dublin Weighs 1,000-Foot Buffer Between Gun Shops, Schools (patch.com) — Dublin officials are considering new rules that would require gun stores and indoor shooting ranges to be at least 1,000 feet from any public or private K-12 school, including the new BASIS Independent School on Dublin Boulevard. After a temporary moratorium and a review of other California cities' policies, staff say the change would still leave about 83 percent of the city's commercial and industrial land available for firearm-related businesses while adding safety and compliance checks.
