Applications accepted now for Dale Vaughn-Bowen Scholarship

The Tri-Valley Soroptimist club is seeking applicants for the annual Dale Vaughn-Bowen Scholarship. This scholarship honors a local community volunteer and business owner Dale Vaughn-Bowen. Dale was an active member of many volunteer organizations in the family and was an owner of a local winery. Upon her passing the Tri-Valley Soroptimist club created a scholarship designed to provide financial help to a girl in the community each year. The scholarship qualifications are: female who is graduating this year from high school or is a college freshman or sophomore, lived in the Tri-Valley area for the last 4 years, lost a parent or guardian to cancer, GPA of 2.8 or better. Winner will be notified by June 1st and is honored a special luncheon in late June.
