Blood Drive Planned Feb. 23 In Danville
Blood is in high demand as the cold and flu season is underway. A free Baskin-Robbins ice cream pint coupon will be given to donors.

DANVILLE, CA — Stanford Blood Center will be hosting a blood drive from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23 at Livery Shopping Center (412 Sycamore Road). Donors will get a coupon for a free pint of Baskin-Robbins ice cream.
Blood is much-needed this time of year, as cold and flu season can cause donations to drop, the center said in a press release. Type O is especially needed.
"It’s the blood that we have readily available that allows us to save a life at a moment’s notice. So we’re urging the community to please consider donating at the Livery Shopping Center blood drive," said Phillip Martin, Stanford Blood Center account manager, in the press release. "All it takes is about an hour of your time, and you can help save the lives of up to three patients with a single donation.”
