UPDATE: Street Closures Near Dublin Elementary as a Result of Water Main Break

Officials say Dublin Elementary families should anticipate delays during morning drop off. Watch as emergency crews work to stop the water.

DUBLIN, CA: A broken water main caused dramatic flooding on Vomac Road in front of the Dublin Elementary playground Sunday evening.

Alameda County Fire spokesperson Aisha Knowles said fire personnel worked quickly to contain the leak and that the water will likely be off for residents in the area while repairs are made. Residents reported seeing buckling in the road as the water continued to pour out of the ground.

Although the street sustained damage during flooding, the elementary school still has water service, school district officials said.
