Brookfield Residential and CalAtlantic Homes Break Ground on Master Planned Community
Leading homebuilders break ground on Boulevard, reimagining suburban living for the Bay Area's next generation.

Brookfield Residential, a leading North American land developer and homebuilder, and CalAtlantic Homes, one of the nation's largest builders, have broken ground on Boulevard, a master-planned housing community in Dublin, Calif. The 189-acre community will feature up to 1,995 smart, modern residences with innovative community amenities including dynamic social spaces, pocket parks and more.
After more than a decade of negotiations, planning and preparation, the ceremonial groundbreaking event took place Tuesday, July 12 with executives from Brookfield Residential, CalAtlantic Homes and city officials including Dublin Mayor David Haubert, former Dublin City Mayor Tim Sbranti and former Dublin City Mayor Janet Lockhart.

Boulevard also presented the City of Dublin with a check for $15 million for the community benefit payment going toward a new fire and police station.

“With the launch of Boulevard, the City of Dublin is taking a leap into the next era of innovation and growth,” said Tom Burrill, Bay Area division president, CalAtlantic Homes.
The master-planned community was conceived with a specific homebuyer in mind: active, urban, connected, progressive.
“Our vision is to develop an energetic, authentic community that is buzzing and full of life,” said John Ryan, Bay Area president, Brookfield Residential. “Boulevard is primed to welcome young professionals, tech executives, couples and growing families alike. The design, amenities and location make Boulevard unlike any other community in the area.”
The concept of the great outdoors is a centerpiece at Boulevard. The initial pocket parks, each themed to provide a dynamic social backdrop, include The Office, The Lounge, The Playground and The Kitchen, where on any given day, homeowners can be found at the communal grill. Differentiating itself from other master-planned communities, Boulevard will cultivate a compelling social fabric and enrich a sense of community.

In addition to themed pocket parks and multi-use trail system, Boulevard is within walking distance to the Dublin/Pleasanton BART station, appealing to the next generation of homebuyers for whom easy access to public transportation is truly a housing perk. The development also abuts the historic Iron Horse Regional Trail, a scenic 32-mile regional park.
Model homes are expected to open in the first half of 2017. www.blvddublin.com
