The National Day of Prayer was first observed in 1775! It has gone through many variations by U.S. Presidents, resulting in current recognition on the 1st Thursday in May, encouraging all Americans to pray for the nation on this day.
It is a day that transcends differences, bringing together citizens from all backgrounds.
The Tri-Valley Interfaith Council invites you to a reception, light dinner, and a program of prayers from many faith based leaders. They thank event sponsor Alameda County Supervisor David Haubert.
Where: Alameda County Fairgrounds, 4501 Pleasanton Ave.
Time: 5:00-6:00pm Reception & Light Dinner. 6:00-7:00pm Program.
