MAYOR SHERRY HU’S YOUNG ARTISTS SHOWCASE TO CELEBRATE
DUBLIN’S K–12 ARTISTS

Inaugural Exhibition Marks the Culmination of National Arts in Education Week

DUBLIN, Calif., September, 2026 – Dublin’s young artists will take center stage this September with the inaugural Mayor Sherry Hu’s Young Artists Showcase, an exhibition celebrating the creativity, imagination, and artistic achievements of local K–12 students.

Presented in recognition of National Arts in Education Week, the showcase will culminate a week celebrating the importance of the arts in education by giving Dublin students an opportunity to exhibit their work, receive community recognition, and share their creative voices through the visual arts.

Students who live in or attend school in Dublin are invited to submit original artwork in three divisions: Elementary School (K–5), Middle School (6–8), and High School (9–12). Entries are welcomed across a broad range of media, including painting, drawing, photography, digital art, mixed media, sculpture, ceramics, fiber arts, and other visual art forms.

The exhibition’s open theme, “Your Voice, Your Vision,” encourages students to create work reflecting their interests, experiences, dreams, culture, community, or view of the world.

Selected works will be exhibited at The Frame Company and Art Gallery in Dublin from September 19 through October 3, 2026. The community is invited to attend an opening reception on Saturday, September 19, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., celebrating the participating young artists and the role of arts education in Dublin’s schools and community.

Awards will include the Mayor’s Choice Award, First, Second and Third Place, and a People’s Choice Award, in addition to Honorable Mentions.

The deadline for student submissions is Friday, September 4, 2026. Entry is free.

For submission information, contact the Dublin Arts Collective at events@dacarts.org.
