Camp Parks Officials Investigating Cause of Brush Fire
Fire crews battled two fires on the Parks Reserve Forces Training Area this week. Did you see the smoke on Tuesday and Wednesday?

Military officials at the Parks Reserve Forces Training Area said the cause of a fire that consumed about 30 acres of brush and grass on Wednesday has still not been determined.
According to officials, the fire started at about 6:30 p.m. on July 29, and was fully contained by about 1:23 a.m. on Thursday morning.
The fire was the second blaze extinguished on Camp Parks this week. The first fire was reported around 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

“The PRFTA is actively working on reducing heavy brush and grass to reduce risk for more wildfires,” Camp Parks officials said in a statement.

Smoke from both fires filled the skies over Tri-Valley. Alameda County Fire and Cal Fire crews assisted with the firefighting efforts on Camp Parks. No one was injured and no structures were damaged during the fires.
A drone spotted on Tassajara hampered efforts to fight the fire on Tuesday.
