City Of Dublin To Host 3 Virtual Community Conversations On April 9
The City of Dublin will host a series of back-to-back virtual Community Conversations on Thursday, April 9, via Zoom.

In order to share information with the Dublin community about the current COVID-19 situation and how the City and County are responding, the City of Dublin will host a series of back-to-back virtual Community Conversations on Thursday, April 9, via Zoom Video Communications, and hosted by Dublin Mayor David Haubert. Topics will include a COVID-19 Public Health Update; an update from the Dublin Unified School District and the City of Dublin; and an update on our local business community. Those wishing to participate in any or all of the conversations and ask questions of the participants will need to log in separately for each meeting. Once registered, call-in information and a link to access the webinar will be provided.

The first conversation, 10:00 - 10:45 a.m., will be a Public Health Update, featuring reports from Alameda County Director of Public Health Kimi Watkins-Tartt, Stanford/Valley Care Hospital CEO Rick Shumway, Dublin City Manager Linda Smith, and Police Chief Garrett Holmes. Topics will include on overview of the Alameda County COVID-19 situation; preparedness efforts; local testing options; and a discussion on the most recent Shelter-in-Place Order.

Dublin Virtual Community Conversations: DUSD COVID-19 Update

The second Community Conversation will be primarily focused on the school district response. Participants will receive an update from Dublin Unified School District Superintendent Dr. Dave Marken and School Board Trustees Vice President Megan Rouse. In addition, Dublin City Manager Linda Smith and Police Chief Garrett Holmes will provide an update regarding the City’s response to the Shelter-in-Place Order, particularly around parks and recreation.

Dublin Virtual Community Conversations: Economic Development and Chamber of Commerce
The final Community Conversation will focus on economic development and our local business community. City of Dublin Economic Development Director Hazel Wetherford and Dublin Chamber of Commerce CEO Inge Houston will share information about their efforts to support Dublin businesses during this trying time. In addition, Noah Brod with the Small Business Administration (San Francisco Office) will be able to provide information regarding the Federal response to assist businesses.
