Controversial Documentary VAXXED to Screen in San Ramon

Last year autism rates went up 9% in California schools and this epidemic which currently affects more than 1 million across the country, and is being diagnosed in 50,000 children a year shows no sign of letting up. A recent documentary called, VAXXED: From Cover-Up to Catastrophe, tells the shocking story of an alleged cover-up by officials at the Centers for Disease Control of their own study linking the earlier administration of the MMR vaccine to increased rates of autism among African-American males and other children who had previously been developing normally. Dr. William Thompson, a senior CDC scientist, has turned over more than 10,000 documents to Congressman Bill Posey (R) Florida, and the matter is being investigated by the Head of the Congressional Oversight and Government Reform Committee, Congressman Jason Chaffetz. The documentary was accepted at the prestigious Tribeca Film Festival in New York, then "dis-invited", only to receive something of an apology from festival chair, Robert De Niro, who said in an interview on the Today show "I think the movie is something people should see."

The showing of the documentary is scheduled for Thursday, September 8, at 7:30 p.m. at the Crow Canyon Cinemas in San Ramon. More than 50,000 people have already seen the film in theaters and pre-orders of the DVD on Amazon have made it the #1 documentary!
