Customers Step Into the New Designer Shoe Warehouse

Dozens of people in Dublin spent their lunch break shopping for shoes.

At around noon on Thursday customers filled the aisles at the new DSW (Designer Shoe Warehouse). The store opened for a few hours Wednesday, but employees considered Thursday their official grand opening. 

"I've been waiting for this to open," said one customer when she walked into the new store. 

Other customers said they were familiar with the store and excited that it was opening in the Tri-Valley.

The store is located near and in the Dublin Retail Center on Dublin Boulevard.

DSW offers shoes for men and women and features a clearance section. There is also a selection of purses and wallets.

The store took the space previously occupied by American Home Furnishings, between Marshalls and . 

According to the store's website, "Over 30,000 pairs of shoes in more than 2,000 styles are displayed on the selling floor of most of our stores."

The first DSW opened in Dublin, Ohio in 1991.
