Lanes Reopen On I-680 Hours After Diesel Spill
Caltrans crews worked for hours to clean up the spill, the CHP said.

DUBLIN, CA — A Sig-Alert issued by the California Highway Patrol for southbound Interstate 680 north of Interstate 580 Wednesday morning due to a diesel fuel spill has been lifted. The collision was reported after 2 a.m., according to the CHP.
The CHP said a tanker truck spilled about 70 gallons of diesel fuel after it was struck. Caltrans crews worked for hours to clean up the spill, which blocked three lanes and caused a major backup for morning commuters. All lanes reopened by about 8 a.m., according to the CHP.
