Dublin Bids Farewell To City Manager Christopher Foss
He will be honored at Tuesday's City Council meeting. Incoming City Manager Linda Smith will start work in the new year.
DUBLIN, CA — City Manager Christopher L. Foss will be honored at Tuesday's Dublin City Council meeting, two weeks before his retirement, and after 20 years of service to the City of Dublin and a total of 40 years in local government.
Foss will officially retire on Dec. 31, but Tuesday's meeting will be his public farewell and time for members of the council and community to thank him for "his lasting contributions," according to the council agenda. Foss has spent the past 5½ years as city manager.
He's piloted the city through the expansion of its parks network, a new affordable housing project, commercial projects and sound fiscal practices. Foss led construction of two neighborhood parks; phase two of Fallon Sports Park; the Emerald Glen Recreation and Aquatic Complex (The Wave); and Valor Crossing (housing for veterans and their families). Major commercial projects included the new Kaiser campus and the future campus for Carl Zeiss Meditec.
