Cause Of Fallon Fire Under Investigation

The Fallon Fire forced some residents from their homes and smoke blanketed the Tri-Valley Tuesday afternoon.

DUBLIN, CA — A fire burning in Dublin is fully contained to 118 acres as of Wednesday morning, Cal Fire officials said. The Fallon Fire was reported in the area of Tassajara and Fallon roads just before 2 p.m. on Tuesday, and prompted mandatory evacuations and road closures for several hours.

Patch spotted aircraft in the area, fighting the flames. Alameda County Fire, Livermore-Pleasanton Fire, Cal Fire and Dublin Police Services all responded to assist. Officials originally reported that the fire burned 180 acres but later downgraded the number of acres burned to 118.

"I am very proud of our staff and first responders who acted quickly to keep residents safe and extinguish the fire as quickly as possible," Dublin Mayor David Haubert told Patch.
