Dublin High Hip Hop Teams Wrap Season Undefeated
The teams and the coaches will be recognized for their hard work and achievements by the city council in April.
DUBLIN, CA — Hip hop dancers at Dublin High School recently wrapped up their 2017-2018 competition season undefeated. Both junior varsity and varsity won state championships and three weeks later, both teams won at the Jamz Nationals in Las Vegas and varsity taking level division.
"JV won Best Choreography at their first competitions and demolished the floor," Coach Katie Roderick said. "Varsity won Grand Champions at the UC Davis regionals and Level Division at Nationals. Level Division is one of the highest awards given as it represents the highest score throughout the competition."
Roderick, who graduated from Dublin High in 2015, has been the team’s coach for three years and is incredibly proud of her dancers. Michelle Knobbe is her assistant coach. There are 14 students on junior varsity and 12 on the varsity team.

"What these teams brought to the floor in 2 minutes and 30 seconds speaks for itself, not including the hours of practice and fundraising for their teams," Roderick said.
The teams and the coaches will be recognized for their hard work and achievements by the city council on April 17.
