Dublin High Homecoming Carnival Canceled
BREAKING: School officials said the poor air quality from the massive wildfires has forced them to reschedule the popular event.

DUBLIN, CA — Dublin High School’s annual Homecoming Carnival has been canceled this week, school district officials said. The decision was made Thursday due to the poor air quality from generated by the massive Northern California wildfires. The district said they consulted with experts from the Bay Area Air Quality Management District before making the final decision.
The event will be rescheduled to May 4, 2018. The dance will still be held on Saturday, as planned, and a decision will be made regarding the annual parade by end of the day.
“A decision about the status of the Carnival was necessary this morning because of significant financial and logistical implications with setting up the food vendors and carnival games,” school district officials said. “Postponing now allowed us to transfer our deposit to a later date and give our students and our community the great event that they deserve.”
