Dublin High Receives Highest Accreditation from Western Association of Schools and Colleges
The accreditation status is also based on information provided by the school, including a comprehensive self-study report.

Announcement submitted by Dublin Unified School District:
Dublin High School received notification this week that it has achieved the highest level of accreditation by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), earning Six-Year Accreditation status through June, 2021.
“We are proud of the work being done at Dublin High School,” said Superintendent Stephen Hanke. “It represents the District’s ongoing focus on student learning and we are gratified the WASC committee recognized those efforts. We congratulate our outstanding teachers, support staff, parents, students and leaders for achieving this important milestone of student success.”

Dublin High will be required to submit a Mid-cycle Progress Report by the end of the third year of the six-year cycle. The progress report should demonstrate that the school has: addressed critical areas for follow-up through the school-wide action plan, made appropriate progress on the implementation of that plan and improved student achievement relative to school-wide learner outcomes and academic standards.
Dublin High’s accreditation status reflects the impressive report conclusions provided to Dublin High and district staff at the completion of the WASC Committee’s on-site accreditation visit in the spring. The Accreditation status is also based on information provided by the school, including a comprehensive self-study report.

“This is an extraordinary accomplishment,” said Dublin High School principal Carol Shimizu. “This accreditation is the highest a school can receive. And it tells me that we are on the right track. We are committed to addressing student needs and we have a team that views continuous improvement as a way of life.”
