Dublin Honors Military Vets, Active Duty Members With Banners

DUBLIN, CA — Twelve military veterans and active-duty members from the Dublin community are being honored this year with a collection of banners that will be displayed throughout the city through Veterans Day.

The street banner project was started by Dublin city officials in 2018 to honor both local veterans and those currently serving in the military. The banners are being displayed along Dougherty Road between Scarlett Drive and Amador Valley Boulevard beginning this weekend and will remain in place until November.

Local residents are able to view each of the banners as part of a walking tour, which is approximately a 1-mile round trip walk. The map of the various street banners can be viewed here. Copies of the maps may also be picked up at the Dublin Camp Parks Military History Center.

The Dublin Camp Parks Military History Center is located at the Camp Parks Visitor Center, just outside the military base's Main Gate on Dougherty Road. The History Center is open from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. daily, 11:00 a.m. and admission is free.
