Dublin Hospice Group Hosts Free Caregiver Class On Healthy Eating
A support group will follow the class on healthy meal planning and tailoring diets to conditions such as cancer, dementia and diabetes.
DUBLIN, CA — Hope Hospice will offer a free class for family caregivers on planning healthy meals for elderly and chronically ill adults. The class will address diets for conditions including cancer, dementia, diabetes, and it will teach caregivers how to identify obstacles to healthy eating and avoid nutrition-related disorders and deficiencies.
The class will take place at the Hope Hospice office on the second floor of 6377 Clark Ave., from 10 a.m. to noon on Dec. 14. An optional support group for caregivers will begin after the class, from 12:15 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.
Coffee and light refreshments will be served at 9:45 a.m. Support group participants may bring a bag lunch.
