Dublin Man ID'd As Victim In Pleasanton Fatal Accident
Michael B. Watson, 53, was killed when he was hit by a car last week in Pleasanton. Police do not know if drugs or alcohol played a role.
DUBLIN, CA – A 53-year-old Dublin man has been identified as the victim of a fatal car accident that took place last week in Pleasanton in which he was struck by a car, the Alameda County Coroner's Office announced on Thursday.
Michael B. Watson died in Pleasanton after he was struck by a vehicle last Friday when he was walking on Johnson Drive near Owens Drive when he was hit at 7:40 p.m., police said.
The driver called 911 immediately and reported the collision to Pleasanton police, who responded to the scene. The crash closed portions of Johnson Drive for five hours as police investigated.

Watson was treated by paramedics before he was rushed to Eden Medical Center, where he died of his injuries. Police have not identified the name of the driver.
It has not been determined whether alcohol or drugs were a factor in the collision and police are still investigating the matter, officials said Thursday.
